Webinar on Making Effective Presentations About Research
On Dec. 20, 2011, Julie DaVanzo of RAND (julie@rand.org) conducted a webinar on how to make effective presentations about research. The one-hour training included how to: select material, develop and signal the structure, incorporate appropriate graphics, reorganize and correct common problems of chart design, design effective slides, present multivariate analyses, and wrap-up a presentation.

Workshop on Making Effective Presentations About Research
Julie DaVanzo led an all-day, two-part workshop on Jan. 18, 2012, at the Sixth Annual PopPov Research Conference. The material in the workshop elaborated on content from her Dec. 20 webinar, including developing and presenting effective oral presentations about research, with particular attention to presentations to policy audiences.
